Itinerary - Tehran-Qazvin

Welcome and pick up point: This 1day tour depart from Argentina Square in north central Tehran by a comfortable VIP bus/ Van at 5 am. Your guides greet you there.

Breakfast: you have an appetizing self-service breakfast in various options en route to Qazvin. 

City tour 

Shortly afterwards arrival in Qazvin, which was a medieval capital of the Safavid dynasty for over forty years, city tour commences with some archeologic sites such as Tehran Gate-Qazvin, Sardar Ab Anbar (Reservoir), Jame Mosque, Ali Qapou, and Chehel sotoun. The historical city of Qazvin was surrounded by nine gates in the past.

Tehran Gate, one of the remaining gates, was one of the three gates leading to Rey and Tehran. Sardar Ab Anbar is one of the biggest reservoirs in Qazvin which has 37 steps leading down to the base and four water valves. Jame Mosque of Qazvin is one of the oldest mosques in Iran, and is the grand, congregational mosque of Qazvin. Ali Qapou is one of the historical and touristic relics in the list of Iran’s national relics. Chehel Sotoun Mansion or Pavilion is one of the important monuments of Safavid period. The walls that are decorated with murals are unique, and the existence of three layers of murals demonstrate the passage of different historical periods. 

Lunch time

Now it’s time to enjoy the delicious Persian and Qazvin cuisines at a traditional restaurant and take a break to be all set for the second amazing half of the tour.

Sightseeing

Your city tour continues with Aminiha Hosseiniyeh and ends up going to Sa’ad-al Saltaneh Caravanserai and Bazaar. Aminiha Hosseiniyeh is a well-preserved Qajar mansion. The courtyard garden is a pleasant place to linger after being dazzled by the mirrored, glittery interior, with its colored glass windows and vaulted basement. Sa’ad-al Saltaneh caravanserai is one of Persia's best preserved urban caravanserais from Qajar era. This large Caravanserai located close to Qazvin Grand Bazaar.  

Bazar and shopping

Since you have a chance to Stroll over the bazaar and taste plenty of local cakes, breads, and sweets.

Dinnertime: Finally, your dinner is served. 

Return to Tehran: You leave for Tehran and have dinner.
